Get Involved

Many ways

to make a difference

The work of The Lighthouse Project is only possible because of the fantastic network of churches, volunteers and supporters that we have. We are always looking for more people to join the team and there are various ways in which you can get involved!

Volunteer

Are you passionate about working with children and young people in schools? Do you have some spare time during school hours? If so then we would love to hear from you.

Pray

We really value prayer support and would encourage you to pray regularly for the work we are doing in schools.

We have termly prayer meetings for the schools in Crawley. The next one is on Wednesday 13th September, 4pm, at The Charis Centre (Town Barn Road). It would be great to see you there!

We also send a termly update to all of our prayer supporters with specific points for prayer. If you would like to receive this update, please email admin@lighthouseprojectcrawley.org

Host

Points of prayer

Assemblies

Please pray as we prepare for assemblies in both primary and secondary schools. Pray that God would lead and inspire the plans and that the children and young people would engage with the important issues spoken about.

Serving new schools

That we would be able to serve schools that we do not already work in. That new relationships with schools would be built and new opportunities to support schools would materialise.

Students as they settle into new schools

Please pray for reception students and those moving into year 7. Pray that they will settle into the new environment quickly and will build healthy friendships.

Relationship and Sex Education

The Lighthouse Project is now offering RSE lessons to Secondary schools. These lessons are centered on Christian values and are based on the Esteem material by ACET UK. Please pray for opportunities to deliver these lessons in more secondary schools.
